Golden Tickets Under the Wrappers

Yesterday it was two words and a GIF — “Cooking something sweet!” One year ago today, the oven opened: 3,690 chocolate bars headed for the ledger, 1,230 of them hiding golden tickets.

The Daily Delta works like a ship's log read backwards: every day, we pull what the indexed XRPL project timelines posted on this exact date a year ago, and see what it turned into. Some days the delta is a meme. Some days it's a fork in the road wearing a meme's clothes. July 16 was the second kind.

The setup came the evening before. On July 15, 2025 — after filing its usual 3:21 PM post (a SpongeBob riff: “Who lives on a ledger of liqui-dah-teee!?”) — @fuzzy_xrp dropped three words and a GIF: “Cooking something sweet!”Then, on this day one year ago, at the account's signature minute, the kitchen doors opened:

3:21:06 PM — the reveal, on the clock

“Tomorrow, on 7/17 at 7:17AM EST, Fuzzybear will open his mint for Fuzzy Bars on XRP Ledger. He has hidden Golden Tickets under the wrappers of ordinary Fuzzy chocolate bars. In 77 days, the holders of these tickets will receive a free 1:1 mint for a unique Fuzzybear NFT”

A full Willy Wonka homage, minted on the XRP Ledger: chocolate bars with golden tickets hidden under the wrappers, and a 77-day clock ticking toward a free 1:1 unique Fuzzybear for whoever held one. Sevens everywhere — a 7/17 mint at 7:17 AM, 77 days to redemption — and then, because this project has never once let a number sit idle, the wrapper came off the supply when the mint went live the next morning:

3,690 chocolate bars1,230 golden tickets10 ‘special’ golden tickets

1,230 is 123 wearing a trailing zero. 3,690 is exactly 3 × 1,230. The whitelist snapshot ran at 3:21 PM, and the reveal itself went out at 3:21:06. If you've read The Bear and the Clock, you already know this is not decoration — of the account's 409 indexed posts, 241 went out at exactly 3:21 PM Eastern. The clock is the signature. The candy was signed.

The bars minted on the 17th. (For the record: the public mint hit technical difficulties that morning and went live on xrp.cafe a little over an hour late. Even legends buffer.) Then the golden tickets sat under the wrappers for 77 days, exactly as promised — and on October 1, 2025, the wait ended in mirror writing. At 10:00 AM Eastern the account announced the redemption backwards — “!revo si tiaw ehT”, “The wait is over!” reversed — and Golden Ticket holders minted sraebyzzuF: Fuzzybears spelled backwards, an entire collection written in the project's mirror hand. The 10 ‘special’ golden tickets went one better, each redeeming for one of just 10 Golden Fur sraebyzzuF. And the clock kept time even here: the account's next post landed at 3:21 PM — exactly 321 minutes later.

The prize was no throwaway, either. sraebyzzuF stands today at roughly 1,191 sales and about 631,000 XRP (~$1.25M) in all-time volume by Bithomp's count — its first sale recorded October 1, 2025, redemption day itself — and it still trades actively on xrp.cafe and png.cafe.

The reason this delta earns its entry is what the golden ticket became. It worked once as candy — chocolate bar to golden ticket to sraebyzzuF — and a year later the wrapper-with-a-prize-inside mechanic is the spine of the whole project: Fuzzycards — announced March 2, 2026 and launched March 26, on what the team called Fuzzy's “1 year, 2 month and 3 day birthday” — had collectors burn their Fuzzycards First Edition NFTs to claim the physical cards. And the game isn't over: the Genesis Booster Boxes and Bundles minted afterwards — 333 bundles, then 589 boxes, in May — and those wrappers are still sealed, not yet redeemable. Roughly 1,840 Fuzzycards sales and about $600K later, with a holder portal and a retail program for local card shops announced just last week, the through-line is hard to miss: July 16, 2025 is the day the project unveiled the trick it would build a product on. Hide something real inside something sweet — and make them wait for the wrapper.

That's the delta for July 16. The timestamps are facts. The conclusions are yours.
